The first story is about Hicky the caterpillar attempting (For the third time) to become a butterfly . Hicky applies to the B.A.U.C. (Butterflies Association of Unwinged Caterpillars) Percy Veerence the scientist worm invents a parachute that helps Hicky gain a three day trial period from the B.A.U.C. However Eddy Kray the Cockroach and Boris Spider kidnap Hicky and use Percy’s invention to steal the dance trophies from Log Hall. Plenty of silliness throughout the story as with the Quarry Grove stories.

Percy Veerence the scientist worm continues his war against the bird eating worms using his latest invention R.W.B.B.B’s (Rubber Worm Bird Beak Bashers). Hicky Caterpillar and Percy escape from the monster of the Dark Hedge. Clearing the Dark Hedge Percy spots a yufo (U. F. O.) Unidentified flying object. Percy abandons Hicky, (for the second time in one day) and flees to the Slug and Sucker to raise the alarm. The brave alien hunters leave the Slug and Sucker in search of the Hicky and the possibility of an alien. Alien versus Monster from the Dark Hedge? I’m sure Eddy Kray the Cockroach and Boris Spider will have something to say and about the days unfolding events. Crusty Pie from Mars is the second book in a series of six engaging fictional stories for kids. Next adventure, book 3, The Kite Contest, More fun and mayhem from the weird and wonderful characters of Quarry Grove. .

A word from YOU!
A big big round of applause for being such an amazing writer. I was already in love with your first book and now this one actually won me. You are blessed with an unteachable talent. Your writing style is quite unique.  The description of the characters is so clear that I can actually picture all those tiny, full of themselves, creatures, alive. I loved that part where the decision about taking or not taking a shower became so difficult for Hicky. It cracked me up. I am a bigggg fan of your writing. Whenever you count your fans, count me first :)  Also, if there is actually a place like Quarry Grove, please take me there.  I want to meet all these characters.
